Care and handling
We are not responsible for any damage to the cake and desserts after pick-up or after drop-off and setup is complete. The client is responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s) and desserts. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and an optimal room temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit during serving time. Cakes and Desserts are
perishables and are meant to be consumed the day of and should be refrigerated at all times. If desserts are needed to be set on display, they may be at an optimal room temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit or below for no longer than 2 hours.
Decorated cookies should remain at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat. Store in a cool area. Consume within 3 days.
Transporting of cake(s), cookies, and desserts must be placed on a flat, nonskid surface with access to an A/C environment to ensure an optimal temperature of 60 degrees Fahrenheit or below is met (especially crucial during hot weather). Avoid sharp turns, sudden stops, bumpy/uneven roads, and drive at a constant and cautious speed.
When you or your representative pick up and set up the cake and desserts and after all completion of drop off/set up, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake and desserts once it leaves the possession of Amour Patisserie.
Retainers, Payments, and Cancellations
The Contract ends on the agreed date of purchase at the agreed time of purchase unless one of the parties ends the contract before that time. If one of the parties chooses to end the Contract prior to Project completion, the Client is responsible for paying for all work and costs incurred up until that date.
Any changes to this order must be made no later than 14 business days prior to pick up. Any changes requested after the signing of this contract cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges. Full payment is required at time of booking to consider this an order and contract for services to be rendered, with 50% of the balance as a retainer and not refundable.
All retainers are non-refundable. There will be no credit given for orders canceled within 14 business days. For cancellations with more than 14 business days’ notice, credit may be given for a future order, less the fair market value of items that cannot be re-used. This offer is subject to the date being available.
If full payment is not received on the due date, the order will be canceled without prior notice to the client.
If full payment has been made, but the responsible party fails to pick up the product(s) within the agreed date and time, the order may be subject to resale without refund or notice.
For all wedding orders:
To secure your date, we require full payment at the time of booking, with 50% of it nonrefundable after payment is completed. If for any reason you must cancel, we require 90 days' notice to receive a partial refund back less the shared value of any materials purchased/made for your order. If you need to reschedule your date to a different date later than the date requested, there may be an additional fee charged for any material/ingredients that have been produced ahead of time for your order that cannot be reused or a rush fee may be applied where applicable.
The Client and Amour Patisserie LLC must agree to any changes to this contract in writing.
Amour Patisserie will not offer refunds or exchanges for custom products that meet our quality standards once a product(s) has been picked up/delivered and “Accepted” by you or another designated party. Additionally, under no circumstances will Amour Patisserie provide a refund in excess of the cost of the order. All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves
our possession. Refund requests due to decorating style, color shade, or general decoration design will not be honored or considered. Refunds will only be given if the product does not meet the flavor, size, and general description detailed above.
Cake flavor and texture are subjective. Refunds requested due to flavor or texture after the cake has been accepted, delivered, and picked up will be at the sole discretion of Amour Patisserie. Amour Patisserie may consider a store credit if the product is brought back to us and the quality of the cake flavor or texture is determined not to meet our standards within 24 hours of your event.
Please note, we do taste our products daily to ensure the highest quality. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Amour Patisserie. Our cakes are baked from scratch with all-natural ingredients and need to be kept out at room temperature for at least an hour prior to serving.
Keep in mind, variety in temperature and humidity may impact the flavor, overall design, or texture of the cake to some degree. Please understand that we cannot control changes in texture or changes in color or shape due to weather conditions.
We respect the privacy of all our clients. We will not disclose the identity of clients without permission. We do, however, reserve the right to photograph baked goods and use those photos on our website, social media, or marketing materials without any compensation to you.
Please be aware that all ingredients are processed on the same equipment (eggs, soy, wheat, nut). Although we have strict processes in place to prevent cross-contamination, there is still a slight risk of the presence of any allergen.
Amour Patisserie LLC will invoice the Client after completion of milestone(s) or the Project, unless otherwise noted in the Payment schedule. The Client agrees to pay invoice(s) by the due date(s) specified. Unpaid or overdue invoices may result in suspension or termination of the Project.
